TESTIMONIALS

David

I would like to thank Mr Randeep Mohil for the care he provided my son, William, over the last 12 months following his mountain bike wrist injury. Following his recovery, William has resigned himself to never being able to ride a mountain bike again, however we are eternally grateful for the functional wrist movement that he has today which is a result of Mr Mohil and his team’s skill and commitment. As his father, it’s been a horrendous time, but thankfully good has come from bad and he now runs our family business (and doing an amazing job) such is his newly acquired focus. Unfortunately, he has taken up a new hobby that he can manage to do with his limited wrist movement, I guess he will always be an adrenaline junky!

I started developing pain in my thumb joint and a lump in my hand earlier this year. As my job is strenuous and involves milking cows, I felt lots of pressure in between my tendons and needed to continually stop and start milking throughout the day, due to the pain. I went to see my GP and was referred to Mr Mohil who diagnosed me with a ganglion cyst at the base of my thumb. I had my surgery in May at Fulwood Hospital, (excision of thumb base ganglion) which was a daycase procedure and only took about 40 minutes. Since having my procedure and taking the time off work to fully recover, I feel loads better! I have less pressure in my joint, no sharp pains and I can now continue to work and milk cows, and i'm back at the gym - pain free! I’d highly recommend Mr Mohil, he’s an extremely competent consultant surgeon. I trusted his expertise and can’t thank him enough!

I first started developing wrist problems a few years ago when a lump developed under my skin. It disappeared and then recently re-appeared a lot bigger. It started to cause a lot of pain in my hand, as it was pushing on my nerve. My job involves working on a computer all day, so the lump was becoming increasingly frustrating as it kept catching on everything, and it was a struggle to grip and move the mouse. I went to see my GP and was referred to Mr Randeep Mohil, and I had my consultation very quickly afterwards, where he diagnosed me with a wrist ganglion. Since I’ve had surgery to remove the cyst, it’s made a massive difference to my hand and wrist function – I can now fully move it, I can lift things again and there’s no more catching! I'm now able to continue to work throughout the day, as previously I had to keep stopping and starting as I was in so much pain. My scar is minimal and extremely neat too. I would highly recommend Mr Mohil, everything from start to finish, including the aftercare was superb. He’s very thorough and meticulous, and the surgery has completely changed my life!

For more than 12 months, I was suffering with pain, numbness and tingling in my hand. My GP referred me to a local physiotherapist who said I needed to see a hand and wrist specialist, and referred me to Mr Randeep Mohil. I received my appointment very quickly and was really impressed by the wait time! I had to have nerve conduction tests to confirm my diagnosis of carpal tunnel syndrome. I needed to have surgery, which was a daycase procedure so I was in and out of hospital on the same day. The next day, I woke up and I was no longer in pain! Prior to my surgery, it was extremely uncomfortable to sleep due to the numbness and tingling in my hand, and I had to sit up in bed throughout the night. I’m now no longer sleep deprived! I also have my grip back and I don’t drop things anymore, which is really important as I work in a supermarket. If anyone is suffering with a hand and wrist condition, I would highly recommend Mr Mohil. He’s brilliant, with a great sense of humour and really puts you at ease. He’s actually going to operate on my other hand in a few months - I’m so grateful that someone listened to me and my concerns. Thank you Mr Mohil!

I developed a crooked finger on my left hand which meant I couldn’t do all the things I enjoyed doing, such as exercising and working on my cars, as when I held a spanner it was too painful. I went to see my GP and got referred to Mr Mohil who diagnosed me with Dupuytren's contracture. He thoroughly explained all the different treatment options, and it was decided that I would have a needle fasciotomy which is an outpatient procedure, a lot less invasive and my recovery was considerably quicker, compared to surgery. Since having treatment, my fitness has greatly improved – I was able to get back to my Joe Wicks workouts and do press-ups again, as well as enjoy working on my cars - pain-free! I would 100% recommend seeing Mr Mohil and having this treatment!

For many years, I was suffering with a number of problems with my hand. It felt very stiff and tight, and I couldn’t hold anything so I kept dropping items - it was really impacting my day-to-day life. I’d seen Mr Mohil previously and was grateful when I got referred to him again for this condition, my brother has also had several operations with him and speaks highly of him. At my consultation, Mr Mohil diagnosed me with Dupuytren's contracture. Since treatment, my life is 100 times better - I can now pick things up again, wash my face without difficulty, do general household chores and my sleep has greatly improved! I would recommend Mr Mohil without a shadow of doubt, he’s an excellent surgeon!

I had been experiencing pain in my little finger for about 7 years, which got worse as time went on. It was debilitating and the pain was keeping me awake throughout the night. I couldn't fully enjoy my hobbies including cycling, swimming and running. I went to see my GP who referred me to The Beardwood Hospital for a scan, and Mr Mohil diagnosed me with a glomus tumour on my finger - which thankfully was benign. I had daycase surgery, so I was in and out of hospital on the same day. Since my treatment, I can sleep again and I'm back to doing the things I love; I can actually grip onto my cycle and motorbike again! Mr Mohil was amazing - I'd highly recommend him and this treatment to anyone who is suffering.
